Sharks : Time running out to deal goalie?
http://www.thefourthperiod.com/news/sjs060716.html

The Sharks appear to be running out of time to trade one of their two stud goaltenders, reports the San Jose Mercury News.
Ottawa and Toronto were reportedly close to making a trade with the Sharks, but their deals fell through, and the Senators signed Martin Gerber, while the Maple Leafs acquired Andrew Raycroft from Boston.
The Mercury News claims only the Detroit Red Wings and St. Louis Blues remain in the hunt for help between the pipes.
"We've been in the loop in everything that has gone on," Sharks GM Doug Wilson told the paper. "And we'll make the decision when the time is right."

I think that the Sharks could have a tough time unloading a goalie. Buffalo is looking to trade Biron and Legace is still unsigned. The trade value of a goalie seems to be fairly low right now. Might be smarter for the Sharks to wait until the season starts to try a move someone.

I think that there going to get less value now then what they started with because they've been trying to trade 1 of them for months and no luck yet. So more then likly San Jose will get the Dirty end of any trade for a Goalie, mabye they can pick up a half decent winger though

I wouldn't worry about it. SJ won't trade one of them until the perfect deal comes along, and if it doesn't come until Febuary, then that's the way it'll be.

SJ almost NEVER gets the dirty end of any trade. They will wait until some team messes up, and needs a #1 badly, and fill a good deal out.
SJ already filled 90% of the holes that needed filling anyways, and are WAY below the cap. Things look promising.

I think they already missed the boat on trading a goalie, atleast for now. Ottawa looks happy with Gerber as does Detroit with Hasek and St Louis with Legace. Really, now they'll have to wait until atleast mid season for an injury or someone to perform poorly to trade them.

If they got the right deal, they would trade Nabokov. That being said, Toskala's lower salary will make him more attractive to other teams.

Screw it. Keep both goalies. Both are playing stellar. Our young Dmen have really stepped up. Earhoff, Carle, are racking up points, Vlassic is having a great rookie year. Mcclaren and Hannan are awesome hitters and shutdown Dmen. Our offense needs no help. Its the dominant offense in the NHL today, and no other team can compare to our 1 - 2 punch.
Our Energy line Of Nieminen, Smith, and Clowe is awesome, and our Checking line of Goc, Rissmiller, and Grier has been unbelievably effective.
Im comfortable staying as is. It would take alot for either of these goalies, both of whom are owning it up. Nabby just shutout the undefeated stars, and Toskala is owning it up in a SJ raping of detroit.
