Round 3 Game 3 - Pens at Flyers
Well a huge game tonight in Philly. Both teams would dearly love to win this one. If the Pens win they have that 3-0 advantage in the series that is almost impossible to overcome. If the Flyers win, then they are just one game from evening the series.
Will be interesting to see how it plays out. I'm sure that both teams will want to come out physical, but they need to be careful not to cross the line and take penalties doing so. Power Plays have been a big part of the series so far, and neither team want to be in the box.

i think this next game, will emphasise to all, the benefits of home ice.
i do not envy the PENS having to march out, in front of a baying sea of orange, but having said that, i also suspect that it will provoke PIT to do what is necessary.
i dunno to what extent it is true, that people / teams claim to enjoy being the underdog. for sure suggesting as much on the basis of a past season of stats allows you to prove something, but when pivotal players are sidelined, is this the same sort of 'under dog' status that can be overcome?
Hatcher can't do it all.... and the PIT offence looks to come into its own when pressurised. (and there are more than one or two strikes from the PHI roster.) it might actually benefit the home team if the crowd doesn't try to 'get into it'. but that's not likely to happen.
i would hope PIT gets at least one win from this away trip.... this one.
LET'S GO PENS!!!!

The Pens tonight need to take advantage of the absence of Coburn and Timonen. Hopefully they can put enough pressure on the Flyers D to create turnovers and also limit their own. The arena will be rocking tonight and the Pens need to get the crowd out of the game, early and often.
One thing that has stood out for me so far with the Pens is the defense of Hossa. The dudes a beast on the back check and getting back to the play after a turn over to do his little stick lift has been unbelievable!
As always the key will be staying out of the box and playing their game. Not too high, not too low.
GO PENS!

that has been the biggest thing that I have noticed since he came here. He is so quick getting back into the play, I can't recall the number of times that he has come back, lifted the stick and turned with the puck in the other direction with ease.

Living in Cali and not having the center ice package. I missed a ton of games unless I watch the late Fox replay or be lucky enough to have the game on NBC or Versus. So I guess ium just begginging to notice it now. In any case, the dudes a stud. Me being more defensive minded, Im trully enjoying his play

Game almost ready to start, I think that the team to win tonight will be the one harness their emotions better.

Hopefully Fleury won't let in any easy goals or trickle in goals.

First power play goes to the Penguins, hook on Hatcher.
