GLENDALE, Ariz. (CP) - The Phoenix Coyotes signed centre Mike Zigomanis and goaltender Mikael Tellqvist to two-year contracts on Friday.
Zigomanis, 26, would have been an unrestricted free agent after the season while Tellqvist, 27, would have been a restricted free agent.
Zigomanis has set career-highs with 10 goals, seven assists and 34 penalty minutes in 52 games so far this season. The six-foot-one, 200-pounder is also seventh in the NHL in face-off wins at 56.9 per cent.
