(Sports Network) - The Phoenix Coyotes resume a four-game road trip this evening when they battle the Florida Panthers at BankAtlantic Center.
The Coyotes defeated Columbus in the swing's opener on Tuesday before suffering a 4-2 setback to Detroit on Wednesday. Shane Doan and Owen Nolan both scored for Phoenix, which has dropped four of its last six overall.
Goaltender Curtis Joseph had a busy night, facing 47 shots against Detroit. He came up with 44 saves in the losing effort.
The Coyotes, who are 11th overall in the Western Conference and 12 points out of a playoff spot, conclude their road trek Tuesday in Tampa Bay. The club is 12-16-1 as the visitor this year.
Phoenix center Jeremy Roenick has recorded 10 goals and 11 assists in 24 career games against Florida while Nolan has 11 goals and 12 assists in 21 games.
Florida was last in action on Thursday when it dropped a 4-2 decision to the Minnesota Wild at Xcel Energy Center.
Martin Gelinas scored while Nathan Horton had a goal and one assist for Florida, which has dropped four of its last five overall. Ed Belfour made 31 saves for the Panthers.
