“It sounded like the perfect way to stay in the game and see if I like it,” Hatcher said. “I will be watching the younger players and making sure everything runs smoothly for them. I will be involved with running the rookie camp this summer.”

Only American born player ever to lead his team to a Cup. Hopefully he teaches the young guys to play with a mean streak. Too soft on the back end.

Hatcher was one of a dying breed of hard hitting defensemen. That class of player is not found that often these days.
