Phantoms moving to Glens Falls, New York
Quote:
April 29, 2009
As first reported in the Courier-Post, the Philadelphia Phantoms will relocate to the city of Glens Falls, N.Y., and begin play at the Glens Falls Civic Center for the 2009-10 season, the American Hockey League announced Tuesday.
The AHL Board of Governors also approved the sale of the Phantoms from Comcast-Spectacor to the Brooks Group of Pittsburgh.
"Having the Phantoms continue playing next season is a tremendous advantage for us," Flyers general manager Paul Holmgren said.
"We will be able to make frequent trips to Glens Falls to closely monitor the development of future Philadelphia Flyers." -- Chuck Gormley

It's a shame that they are moving. A lot of families loved bringing their kids to the games and the tix were cheap. Darn economy.
