If you could pick a different mascot.. what would it be??
A different mascot? Hmmm. Can't think of one. No wait. :]
Grim reaper?
Now that would instill some fear into opponents... and the fans would love him too.

The name Spartacat came from the 1960 movie Spartacus which involved the Romans, although the character Spartacus ends up leading a rebellion against the Roman Empire, but what the heck! It was just a good play on words and frankly, I think it's pretty clever.
A new mascot, hmmm...tough call. I like Bluemeanie's suggestion though. Ever see Monty Python's The Holy Grail and the part with the little bunny? Remember what it does? Hee hee!!! "What's it gonna do...nibble on my bum???", then without warning it attacks, viciously ripping the guys esophagus out of his throat. Blood spewing from his gapping wound...LOL!!! Love that movie! Hey, we could show the guy wearing a Leaf jersey and play the edited clip at the games. LOL!!! That should go over well with the kiddies! Family entertainment at it's finest!!!
