Default Ottawa dances with the Islanders

Just a matter of days after the Senators stormed back against the Islanders to earn a 4-4 tie Thursday night, the 2 teams meet this afternoon at 12pm to finish off their season series which has seen the Sens win one, the Isles win one and the last game result in a tie. With a win the Senators could take over first in the Eastern Conference over the idle Leafs and Flyers and still have a game in hand. Martin Prusek get's the start in the Ottawa net, which is starting to cause a bit of goaltender controversey in Ottawa, but its not big enough yet. However, if Prusek continues his strong play, with numbers of 9 wins to 3 losses, 1.68 GAA and a .936 Sv.%, things could interesting.

Ottawa had so many more chances then the Islanders today, but Dipietro played extremely well, which can't be said for Prusek, who let in a few softies IMO. Ottawa's defense was lazy as well giving the Isles far too many odd man rushes. This is such a wasted chance to take over first in the East. I'm not going to name names, but a few Senators just did not show up today. This was a perfect example of taking a team, who you are clearly superior than, lightly and playing down to their capabilities.

Sounds like the sens are playing like the canucks these days.

Losing to inferior teams, which you should beat easily.

What can you do, move onto the next game, and win it

The Sens were due for a soft game. They've been playing so well lately there had to be a letdown sometime. They'll bounce back. I think they're a lock for the East.

That was not the kind of game I like to wake up and watch on a Monday morning. On one hand, I'm glad Prus came back down to earth cause ever since the Tugger / Rhodesy years I hate goaltending controversy, Lalime is the starter and everyone should be behind that. Then theirs the digusting spurty effort we put on today, why do they try and score all their goals in a 2 minute time span?

From the point ; - thier horn is more annoying and longer than ours
- their was about 30 people at the game
- the ny feed was hilarious, one of the broadcasters was
being taught the game of hockey on the spot

Stay Mad...
