Default Sens storm back against Islanders

With a depleted line-up of sorts, the Sens stormed back from a 4-0 score to tie the game 4-4. IMO, Ottawa should have won the game, as they were all over the Islanders. Its great watching Ottawa do this. When they are playing their best hockey, its irrlevent how the other team is playing, they can't match what Ottawa is doing. I'll take the point that seemed a pipe dream halfway through the game, but Ottawa should have won this game.

I did not get to see the game but it is my understanding that Snow was all the difference in the first 2 periods. Is this the case?

And if memory serves me correct, this is the second time that Ottawa has battled back from a 4-0 deficit to tie the Isles.

Yeah definitely. Though the Isles IMO dominated the first 2 periods. They just totally collapsed in the 3rd. A lot of senseless penalties. The difference was when they couldn't capitalize on the 4 minute powerplay and then I think about a minute of 5 on 3. The way the Senators started playing they definitely deserved to win. Sens got a very well deserved point. For the Isles tho, they should have had 2 and should not be satisfied with just 1.

They showed lots of character and it's great news in OT. Remerber the past two seasons they would have let the game go...Congrats!

Sort of. Except that for the first part of the first period, Snow stood on his head against a Sens onslaught. This seemed to inspire the Isles to turn it on.

I missed the game against the Isles. How did Bonk play? Did he show up? Or was his game against the Devils an excuse for him to play like a dope again for the next dozen games or so.

Nothing spectacular. Didn't do anything that stood out like a Hossa or Havlat last night.

That's true but he wasn't doggin' it either.
He was mixing it up a bit when I saw.
He wasn't a liability.

Man, I wish that guy would show up every game.
He can be so good when he wants.
