Default GDT: versus Carolina

Ottawa and Carolina play their first matchup of the season tonight tonight at the Corel Centre. Ottawa, who has owned the Hurricanes the last couple seasons, come into a game in dire need of a win. The majority of fans are pretty pissed off right now about the teams' performance against the Sabres on Monday night, so if a strong performance is not put in tonight, things will magnify ten fold. Panick??? Its too early for that, but there certainly is some concern for a team that is grossly playing way under its potential. Lalime get's the start for Ottawa.

The sens have the talent, but this year, something is missing from their team chemistry. I hope they get it together. They are actually my third favorite team in the NHL. I like watching them play.

Finally, a nice 6-1 win heading into a busy weekend with games at Pittsburgh and NYR. Ottawa sure showed up tonight, totally mandhandling the Hurricanes in the 2nd with 5 goals. Hossa, handsdown, best player on the ice again. Now the trick is for some consistency, by putting together a streak here instead of these win a couple, lose a couple streaks!!!

Maybe this will give them some jump and momentum. A good win usually does wonders for attitude.

I loved the results tonight. I have Bonk and Hossa on my fantasy team and they each came through for me.

Excellent win for the sens, done in dominating fashion.

But don't get too carried away, it was Carolina..but in saying that, its 2 points. AND any team is good to win against, to start a winning streak

Well i have to say good win for the sens it looks like they took some frusteration out on the poor old canes. Now i guess only time will tell if the sens truelly have things figured out.None the less a solid win for the struggling as of late sens.I was looking over the standings and what teams have beat what teams and found this interesting the sens this year have only one win this year over teams with a better than 500 record. ock: the other seven have come against sub 500 teams.

Yikes. Glad to see a strong Sens victory, and a scoring break-out. I hope that's it for the cryin'. An 8 6 2 1 record. Eighth place and nine points behind conference leader Boston with a couple games in hand. Could be worse I guess. :[
