Default Mike Keenan Next Sens Coach?

OK, first of all this isn't a rumour or anything to go on. I'm just speculating, But if the Sens woes continue, do you think Mike Keenan could replace Martin? I wouldn't be surprised if it happens. Iron Mike could get quite a bit of success by coaching the talented Senators.

Anyways what do you think?

What? Where did this come from?

Nonsense.

If anyone were to replace Martin, and he won't be replaced, would be Larry Robinson.

Larry Robinson??? Not a chance!!! Why would Ottawa go from one conservative coach to another??? Makes no sense. The rumblings in Ottawa have suggested Scotty Bowman according to Chris Stevenson and Bruce Garrioch, but I realize I have to take that with a grain of salt, especially when the 'rumour' comes from Garrioch. I've heard Ron Low as a possibilty because of his up-tempo.

I didn't get this from any source, I was just wondering what the other people thought about it.

Do you think that Muckler will actually consider skidding Jacques Martin as head coach? If they did (which I don't think they will) why would they not just promote someone like Don Jackson or Perry Pearn?

This should be in the "trades and rumours" section....

Probably because Robinson has won a cup k: . He has stated he wants to coach a young team, especially with a young defense.

But still, Martin is fine

Ron Low??????? Where the heck did that come from CM, he is a waste of time, he was overrated while he coached in Edmonton, then he was thrown a lifeline by his bum buddy Sather in NY for a second swat at it and he failed miserably.....

Stay away from him.

Ron Low=Bust as coach

I really couldn't see anyone else coaching the Sens, other than Martin.

Alain Vigneault perhaps..but he didn't do much a good job with the Habs. There aren't many quality coaches out there available. Maybe Cassidy if he is fired, due to the fact he is from Ottawa. But then his record is close to awful.

Jacques is fine. Its the team that has to improve, and smarten up

I think that we have beaten that dead horse a wee bit too much slappy, Nolan isn't a bad coach but he did ride the coattails of Hasek.
