Its funny how when the Sens lose, many people come out of the woodwork to be critical of the team. But when they win, no one is to be seen! :lol:

The sens won against Atlanta, 5-3. Seemed like a solid effort. From the caps, it looks like Lalime was a wee bit soft on some goals. But what can you do, they won.

Atlanta seems to be coming back down to earth.

It was a good win to get before a 4 game homestand started. If they had tied/lost, they would have been coming back to a lot of criticisms from media/fans. Keep in mind, Ottawa was missing 5 regulars (Rachunek, White, Volchenkov, Fisher and their best player Hossa) from the line-up. The problem hasn't been that they aren't good enough, it has been consistency and execution. I get the feeling they think sometimes they can step into a game and win solely on talent. Intensity and hard work make you compete for a game, talent is what will push you over the top. The Sens have not put those 2 dimensions together to this point. They have much to prove this homestand, but the recent play has been much better!!!
