Default Sens woes

Whats going on with the sens?

Sure..they are not playing bad. 10 points in 12 games. But, they could be playing better.

White is pointless so far. It seems they have one line going. The Bonk, Hossa, Varada line. And ofcourse Alfie is chipping in.

I read in the paper, that Martin misses the presence of Arvedson. The Sens are awesome on the PP(2nd at 24.4), but god awful on the PK(78.5%=12 goals on 56).

They have lost to 3 teams which are not elite, and are 500 teams this season(Florida, NY Isle, LA). Does this mean they are not taking those teams as they should be taken?

Or is it all because of the injury bug?

Injuries are excuses for losers. Its purely execution and playing 60 minutes of hockey. Obviously, its hard to keep the same pace throughout an entire game, but Ottawa plays great for a stretch in a game, then goes into a funk.
The article, by Allen Panzeri, says that Martin would want someone like a defensive player like Arvedson right now. Its not a quote, but Panzeri's opinion, big difference. Martin would never publicly say he wants this player or that player. Keep in mind, they are also missing their best PK guy in Mike Fisher, which has been an adjustment. The PK has been suffering from play from the defense in their zone, not from the forwards at this point.
Ottawa is off to a better start then last season, which is 12 points in 10 games, not the 10 points in 12 games which you indicated. Ottawa is a team that is still fidning an identity this season because they have played fewer games. They are a team that needs to play more often to get into a groove. They will get that chance this month!!!

The article I read was a side bar, nothing much, a snippet probably from your main article. You know one of those with no name or anything.

I apologize for the slip ups with the games

I would have thought Ottawa would have a pretty good identity going so far. Perhaps too much hype, and they are having troubles dealing with it?

On the team 1200 last night, they said that Muckler says that if nothing good happens in the next 2 games (including last night's against Edmonton), then there are going to be some changes made.

I don't know about that for sure though. I thought I heard Bruce Garrioch's name. Has some merit to this one though.

Why is everyone starting to ring the alarm bells only 10 games into the season? That's what I would be asking.

Having said that my opinion is that too many people are believing in the so-called experts, what I mean is quite a few pundits have already given the cup to Ottawa, much the same as last year at this time when everyone was going around touting Detroit as the odds on favourite to once again parade the cup.

Yes CM they have accumulated more points at this point then last year, but some people are concerned because damn they have not won in four games now, which for a contender is not a good thing, even though it is only 10 games in........

Well, they question them this soon because it was believed they were "the best team in the East" so far, they're in the middle of things.

They want a defensive forward like Arvedson? Well Oates is still availble..

And I don't think they would fire Martin at this point

Actually scorp I wasn't posing it as a question, it was more of a statement.

 Oates, a defensive forward? I'm not sure he is 8) Schaffer can play like Arvedson does. And, its a team effort. If everyone starts to play on the same page..then its all good

Well we tried the 1st place overall route. And that didn't work. Let's try barely squeaking into eighth place in the east. Can't hurt.
