Many people think because he is Slovokian, he is a just an elite winger.
But he is a power forward. Or atleast is turning into one.
I went to the Sens' intra-squad game tonight and Hossa was clearly the best player out there. He does look bigger, but his speed is much stronger as well. He's not going bully through guys, but he'll be able to hold onto the puck when they pressure him and drive to the net. I think he'll have a great season!!!

The best player in a inter squad game? Thats saying lots.If people are going to consider Hossa a power forward then my question would have to be this who in the nhl isn't a power forward?Well Hossa is a gifted offensive player with a decent amount of skill and finesse a power forward he is not.
I could name a few from the Flyers if that will make you feel better??? Remember that goal that Hossa scored against Philly in game 1 last year??? Skating around those pylons on the Flyers. I didn't say that he was a power forward, but that he has bulked up. Plus, when I say he was the best player in that game, my point was that he stood out more then anybody against an impressive Ottawa line-up. I'd take Hossa over Amonte, Recchi or Williams any day of the week!!!

An "impressive" Ottawa line up??While the sens have a few decent or impressive players, to refer to the whole line up as impressive is a bit of a stretch i'd say,but thats just my humble opinion.
Try all you want, but you can't argue Ottawa's depth and it showed in that fun game last week, making it impressive to me, for a team I think can win the Cup. When you 0 to 1 spots open, that's pretty deep in my humble opinion.
I heard about something like this myself a few weeks ago, and I think it's possible he could become a PF.
It's just to do that he'll now have to drop the gloves a few times this season, and take the terrible punishment in front of the net,, bowl a few player over with a few hits here and there, you know 8)
I don't know, but we could maybe see him doing these things. He's added on some weight and muscle, that's for sure. He's as Bulky as... well, he's very bulky. Who knows, maybe we're in for a surprise this year.

I can’t see Hossa crashing and banging guys or anything like that but he is strong and can make his way through a crowd with both skill and power. He scores and he’s not intimidated.
