Sens re-sign Wade Redden
The Ottawa Senators Hockey Club today announced they have re-signed defenceman Wade Redden to a multi-year deal.
Redden, 26, recorded 45 points (10-35) and 70 penalty minutes through 76 regular season games in 2002-03. He finished the season tied for 18th in the NHL in average shifts per game (29.9), 15th in average time-on-ice (25:24), tied for 15th in plus/minus (+23) and tied for 11th in defencemen points (45).
In the 2003 playoffs, Redden finished tied for fourth in team scoring with nine points (1-8) and tied for fourth among all NHL defencemen in points. His lone playoff goal was in overtime against Philadelphia on May 6.
In seven seasons with Ottawa, he has recorded 61 goals, 182 assists and 338 penalty minutes in 548 career games. Redden ranks third in the Senators’ all-time games played (548), 10th in goals (61), fourth in assists (181), sixth in points (243) and seventh in penalty minutes (338). He also ranks tied for second in the Senators’ all-time playoffs games played (54), tied for sixth in goals (6), third in assists (17) and third in points (23).

Well it was a good move by Muckler, this signing would ensure that Redden is going no where but staying in Ottawa.
