Default Mats Sundin says he won’t play in 2010 Olympics

http://sports.yahoo.com/nhl/news;_yl...v=ap&type=lgns

Quote:
“I will not change my mind,” he told Expressen. “I think it’s time that the next generation takes over. We have many good players.”

Sundin is still pondering his future in the NHL and did not rule out playing another season with Vancouver.

“Absolutely,” he said when asked if he might play again with the Canucks. “I will think about my future over the next couple of weeks. I will make a decision in the summer.”
Looks like Sundin might actually be coming to the end of the road. I think he plays one more season in Vancouver and then call it career.

Good on him. Showing some class like Lemieux and Yzerman when Team Canada came knocking in 2006.

Could be an excuse because he's all roided up and he would pass a drug test....

Or it could be the same reason as Yzerman and Lemieux, which is sounds like. They know that they're getting older and wouldn't be able to contribute as much as the younger player coming in, so they told the deciding body not to put them on the team or turned them down.

Sundin passed drug tests when he was in Vancouver. And Toronto before that. And past Olympics. There's absolutely nothing to base your steroid allegations off of.

Sure i want Sundin to play in the olympics , but i think that he have done his , you cant play for ever.

I would like to see Sundin as our "National-Coach" in the future , that would bee awsome !!
