Lucky? Were they lucky to be the best team during the regular season as well? Were they lucky when they eliminated Nashville, Colorado, and Dallas? No, they were dominant. Just as they were for long stretches of the series against the Penguins. They deserved to win, because they were the best. They deserved to win because they were able to overcome every bit of controversy that was thrown their way during the regular season and the playoffs. Luck had nothing to do with it.

Yeah, youre delusional lol The last three cup finals, prior to this year had a Canadian team in it. If they were good enough to get there. They were good enough to win. Money has nothing to do with it.

Ever heard of the salary cap?

I can't believe we're on the border of someone claiming that Detroit bought this Stanley Cup.

Maybe Ottawa plans to be re-mapped into the US, since they are going to be paying Heatley 10 mil and Spezza 8 mil next year

BTW: The Redwings top earner for next season? Lidstrom at about 7.5 mil..

Yeah Redwings bought the cup once again lol
