I just wanted to say I really appreciate the classiness of the Dallas Stars fan, both on this forum and others. I've barely heard a peep from any of them about how the Refs favor the Wings, or how the Wings are just getting lucky, etc. Its mostly been Wings hating outsiders making those kind of comments.
With that said, its now 3-0 Wings. The series hasn't been near as close as I expected. Now we just have to hope that Franzen doesn't have this rumored blood clot.

What's with guys getting clots these days....
Props to the Wings, they're making this look so easy.
That fall Morrow took - OMG. I nearly puked. I fell on my right are in a similar fashion nearly 15 years ago and I still get the odd ultrasound treatment for it!

Red Wings Dynasty
I don't like the Wings. But, they are such a dynasty. I'm amazed how they just have veterans hang in there and continue to be great. Then they reload with young guys. Amazing! Wanted Dallas, but it'll be the Wings. Wings and Pens. That'll be a great Cup to watch.

I'm still not buying anything anyone says trying to defend Osgood. He got involved and deserved equal punishment. I'm surprised more people are talking about this than what Ott did to Draper. That reminded me of Brad May punching one of the Wild's defenseman last year, totally uncalled for and unsportsmanlike.
Wingsnut,
I've never really thought the officiating was bad to begin with. The Stars are making stupid mistakes and trying to "Anaheim Ducks" the Wings, who know all to well how to counteract a style like that after last year. Just look at what Lidstrom and Rafalski are doing to Morrow. Morrow could knock their lights out quicker than you can blink, but they're not letting him throw the body around and their kicking him around like a hackeysack. It's the Stars physical play that is getting them in trouble. And honestly, I never expected the Stars to beat the Wings.

I didn't even see Ott's attack on Draper until yesterday before the second game. Draper did nothing while Ott just started pounding away, and I couldn't believe it. First it was Claude Lemiuex, now it is Ott. Give Drapes a break!
And With Osgood, I do believe he did deserve for Ribiero to go after him, but I'm just glad he picked a well padded spot to hit him, and didn't hit him hard.

This series is not going as I expected. With the way Dallas gutted it out against the BIG Pacific, I figured they'd be able to grab one at the Joe. Game 2 was their opportunity, but honestly, they were more concerned with Holmstrom than they were with scoring (like Anaheim last year). They had to get that split and they missed.
Detroit weathered and rolled with the punches, then counterpunched and might have just earned the TKO in game 3. Props to Morrow, that shoulder/wrist flu bug he caught is something mortals die from. He comes back in and plays hockey. He's not Steve Yzerman, but he's playing like he wants to be. But the way he's missing the net/puck on open chances, he's squeezing too hard.
Clearly, Dallas is not a 4-line team. Clearly Detroit is. What will the East give Detroit?

thats the thing about Detroit (and Pittsburgh too)
they are 4 line teams, every one of their lines can do something.
Im a redwings fan, they are my second fave team, I was quite impressed with Dadsyuk in the game last night with his hat trick lol, its easy to see why he is a contender for the Frank J Selke award and the Lady Byng Trophy.
I hope the Redwings win the cup actually.
go wings go.
