Ribiero is a complete douchebag... I can't believe he slashed Osgood at the end of the game like that. One game suspension? I think/hope so.

That game was far more entertaining than the first. The reffing was quite a bit better, and both goalies were nothing short of amazing. The Wings go into Dallas leading 2-0.

And Detroit won 71% of the faceoffs... thats ridiculous.

Totally agreed. Ribiero went too far, I didn't much like OTT's crap either. He basically sucker punched Draper.

I was thinking Ribiero would get 2 games but maybe your right, one. Regardless, that's total garbage.

I wonder if the Stars will even win a game. Honestly, I said it earlier, the Wings are a beast.

You should have seen me screaming at the tv. I was screaming "What a busch leage play!" over and over.

Dallas had me worried after that 4-1 rush, but Detroit was able to hang in there and Ozzie just played unbelievable.

This is a great playoff hockey game (minus Ott's animalistic rush on Draper when your team is down by a goal and Ozzie getting slashed) and I will enjoy seeing more of this when they go to Dallas.

LETS GO WINGS!

2 things that made me say not more than 1. First, Osgood embellished it really badly, the slash wasn't that bad. And secondly, Osgood kinda stuck his butt end of the stick out and it clipped Ribiero on his way in. So, he kinda had it coming.

And I don't care about Ott, thats going to happen in a game that you're losing and you want to spark your team a bit.

Well if the guy really is going to take a swing at you, you should go down nonetheless, because the refs need to see an intent to injure there. Ozzie did it to show he was slashed close to the head. But I think one is fair for him.

He might have had it coming, but not a high stick.

With 5 seconds left? Ott got upset because Draper upended him in the faceoff and took a run at him.

Look, thats why I wouldn't make it more than 1 game. Really, I don't think he gets suspended at all. This isn't the same as whats-his-name's slash on Franzen last year against Calgary.

And ya, with 5 seconds left. He's trying to send a message, I don't care if he wants to do that. Its not really going to change anything.

I officially hate Barry Melrose. He has been obsessed with Dallas since he became a commentator, and he even defended the cheap shot on Osgood, saying what Osgood did was worse.

Yeah, putting your stick in someone's way is more dangerous than a two hand to the neck.

I don't see it, because it barely even touched him. And I've seen Turco do the exact same thing, in this very series. In fact, plenty of goalies stick their stick out or whatever in order to slow down players going into the corner.

And what exactly was Ribeiro intending to do heading behind the net when the buzzer had already sounded? He clearly intended to lay Raffi out, with time expired. So can you blame Osgood for trying to slow him down? I certainly don't. What bothers me is how much Osgood overplayed the slash, that was really childish.

So really what it comes down to is Osgood trying to run interference to protect one of the Wings star players, with no clear intent to injure, and Ribeiro responding with a 2-handed slash that was a clear attempt to injure. And then Osgood acts the fool.

Melrose has always been a Wings hater. He can spew all the bull**** he wants, I'll never listen to a word he says.

Ott, Ribeiro and Osgood were all fined for undisclosed amounts, with no suspensions. Can't say I care that much, time to move on.

Players will get pissed and will have run ins, Ribeiro usually never acts like this, so I wouldn;t consider him a douchebag for losing his temper once.
