Same here. As solidly as the Stars have played, they've done it against the 19th (San Jose) and 28th (Anaheim) ranked offenses in the league. Granted that is the regular season and these are the playoffs, but I still think it's relevant. Turco at least gives them a chance at beating the Wings, but I don't think it'll be quite enough.
Dallas did some dirty work for Detroit in taking out 2 tough hombres, but they simply aren't as good as Detroit is. Not sure which is "The D" in this series, but I say "The D" with "Z" in 6.
I'm taking the Stars here in 6. Turco is a beast, and the Stars offensive depth i like better than the Wings believe it or not..Morrow, Richards, Ribeiro, Modano, Hagman, Lehtinen..I love this group..Plus Zubov is gaining his form back. Watch out Wings.
The stars are getting screwed by stupid calls and none calls. I don't like either team, but even I can see that 5-3 was bogus, and holmstrom should have had a goaltender interference call on the 3rd goal. You can't be allowed to back into the goaltender like that limiting his movment in his crease.
This seems to be a common refrain for teams playing against the Wings. They take the interference calls and get killed by them. Why? Its not always because the refs suck, its also because the Wings are the best transition team in the league, and force teams to play catch up and take those kind of penalties.
From what I've been able to see on the internet feed, the Stars have looked flat and the Wings are executing their game perfectly.
The stars are getting screwed by stupid calls and none calls.
Explain.

Homer took like 5 shots to the face. What makes you think that was bogus?

He didn't even touch the goalie. If Turco wants to get a call, don't back up when he does. If he runs into you he will get called for it. He didn't, so no call.
