In all honesty I'm not interested in any of the teams left in the playoffs, but the team with at least something to cheer about for me is Dallas.
I never did mind Mike Modano.

Yes yes, but of course.
I think it's Gary's little way of fudging the ratings books. You see, it's a long weekend in Canada and many people are out camping etc. They're possible near a bar where they might have theorized that "watching the game tonight was a great idea!" However to their surprise.... This way, most people completely missed these games, while the US audience would by default, be larger.....Buttman turns around and says, "see, we're growing the game".
Makes me puke....

Oh it is nothing new aside from it's growing popularity in recent years. At one time it was a now and then thing. However, in recent years it seems the league things nothing of taking seriously important games like say a game 5 or 6 of a conference final and playing it as close to noon as possible... Good lord, like seriously, no player likes that. How can they....But whatever, it shouldn't be too long before the final is played in it's entirety at around 11 AM.

Now, THAT is conspiracy-minded. heh
What choice does the NHL have? If they air the game in the late afternoon, then they compete against Nascar, which is a ratings giant. If they play the game at night, they compete against basketball and baseball. Even with NBA ratings down, they get more viewers than hockey does.
I don't think it's an effort to cook the books, so to speak, but really just an effort to maximize total viewership.

LOL well thats Turco for ya.
I still hope the wings win the cup but gotta give props to the stars.
and turco is dangerous when he gets the puck he can shoot it 5678899 feet and send the stars on a rush up the ice (and get scoring chances as what happened n saturday with Lunqvist I believe it was I never watched the game but still found out details from my father)
btw I read a funny article on Holmstrom yesretday in the paper they were talking about the disallowed goal and that the ref thought his derriere was in the crease and Holmstrom started cracking jokes.
"I should get a smaller behind then," Holmstrom said. "I'm going on a diet. Its Campbell's soup from now on."
Haha I found that hilarious. I gotta hand it to the guy......holmstrom is funny and has a sense of humor.
I dot like the way he plays but i have to laugh at him sometimes. He can be funny.

I just hope the Wings can keep this up.

Draper opened the scoring by redirecting the puck with his face. Talk about crashing the net.

That looked like it hurt. But whats a tooth if it means you put one in the net?
And every Wings goal has come by playing the net hard. But the Stars are starting to push back, and I'll be nervous right to the end.
