Default Eastern Conference Finals: Flyers/Penguins...The Battle of Pennsylvania

There will be blood. This might be the most physical series of the Playoffs.

This is going to be an amazing series.

Great offenses will clash in this series. Can't wait for this one to start.

Well I hope that this series goes 7 games. That would be great. The series will ramp up the intensity as each games goes, and both teams will play very hard hitting fast paced game.

I didn't give the Rangers much of a chance against the penguins and I don't give the flyers much either.

After seeing how the Flyers dealt with the Candeins I have to say that they will be able to combat the Penguins, but I can't see them beat them, I have the Penguins in 6 on this one, I expect the flyers depth to be their sole advantage, but even that will be overpowered eventually by the shear offensive presance of the Penguins.

That's ok, they don't need your support. No one picked them to beat Montreal and very few picked them to beat Washington.

What was your prediction in the Montreal/Philadelphia series? How about in the Washington series?

I thought that Washington had a good chance because they were one of the hottest teams in the league then. And they almost pulled off a big comeback.

After game three against Boston the Canadiens sucked. I know that you want to believe that the flyers were good instead of Montreal being bad but I think that you'll be back to reality in this series. We shall see.

If the Penguins win, it doesn't mean I "will be back to reality." I never left it. I was skeptical about Biron as he didn't have great numbers against Washington. He turned it on in the Montreal series. It was a combination of Price not getting the job done more than anything else. The Flyers did a great job keeping the Habs away from Biron and out of the slot. It's called execution. The Flyers got the job done against the Habs, the Habs didn't do the job against the Flyers. You can see it however you want, but either way, you're predictions have been wrong, mine haven't. I picked the Flyers in 6 over the Habs and Canadiens. 7 games in Washinton, 5 in Montreal. Total of 12 games.

You can't say Umberger's 8 goals in the series had nothing to do with the win and it was luck.

The Flyers power play firing away in that series at well over 30% isn't luck.

Biron posting amazing numbers through that series wasn't luck.

The Penguins will be the toughest opponent the Flyers will have faced so far. They (Penguins) might win, but it doesn't mean I was wrong about the first two rounds. The Flyers have shut down a primarily one man team in Washington. They did well controlling the Habs and their multiple lines and their speed on defense and how they rush the puck. What makes you think they can't do the same to the Penguins?

Biron is the type of goalie who can really make a difference. In Buffalo, he did, but in both directions. He can dominate games, but he it also prone to letting in the weak ones.

But then again, look at the Penguins and Fleury, he is the same way.
