Malkin running scared? Where is there any evidence of this? He is throwing hits out there every chance he gets and loves to jump in the scrums. The Flyers are simply putting alot of focus on stopping Malkin and because of that Sid is just going off. Also I would like to point out that Malkins best game of the series is also the game he took a ton of punishment maybe the most all series. Malkin is a player that I like when he gets mad or a challenge is put in front of him as he seems to take his game to the next level.

I think he views running scared as in "human target for all the hits while his teammates do the same good job as him"

Hopefully, the Flyers watched the Stars effort last night and give a similar one tonight. That's all I ask for. Still no Coburn tonight. Come on boys, no sweep on home ice.

So who else if f'in pumped for game 5? I know I am. Richards should've been abble to wail on Crosby. That would've made the whole playoffs worthwhile for me. Goin back to Pitts the series 3-1, who knows that could happen with a game's worth of momentum behind us.

I never saw the first period of the game last night, I wasnt home, but I did see the second and third periods. Could someone please tell me who scored the three goals for the flyers in the first period?

Briere, Lupol and Carter scored for the Flyers.

Thank you. Danny Briere, Jeff Carter, and Jeffery Lupol (Lupus as I call him LOL)

After watching the second and third periods I would have to agree with Mr Hextall the Flyers are good at defence but my criticism of their forward lines remain the same. Smith was told to shadow "princess" Crosby" and someone else to shadow 'duchess' malkin but their other players are just as good (staal scored for the pens and brought them to nearly had to play overtime. One penguin other than the crosby/malkin thing. Must have forgotten they had to watch the other Pens.

I dont like Danny Briere but I have to commend him for showing up and producing when his team needed him at the brink of elimination. since hes been hibernating all series long. That is leadership and good leadership. Well done.

what the flyers did when they attacked they send one player in a the others kind of hung back and followed at a distance. They did though make some mistakes during the two Staal goals later like leaving too much space for Pittsburgh to maneuver.

and my criticism of Pittsburgh is that sometimes they were like runnin around with their heads cut off.

Imo the two goalies played the best (biron obviously better than Fleury) They both made some amazing saves Fleury made one vs briere and Biron did too only cant remember who he stopped.

The only reason Im kind of glad the Flyers won is because Martin Biron had a good night after all the losses he had. Biron is the only Flyer I like so im happy that he is happy with his win.

but upshall crabbing staal like that near the end of the game and starting the fight now that was just dirty. and then Malone and Hatcher started fighting malone to protect a team mate in a fight the flyers started.

I've no idea who started the fight between crosby and Richards of the Cheeseburger line though. They were going at it with the sticks at the face off circle but ive no idea what actually triggered the fight.

Both Biron and Fleury played pretty good games. The three flyer's goals were none of Fleury's fault, one a deflection off his defenseman, and two were rebound goals off of nice saves. He played a solid game. Biron made several great saves also, especially on a Hossa break in the first, and had pretty good rebound control.

Difference in the game was that Philly finished their chances in this game, the Pens did not.

oh really, they were? Kinda goes back to my knowledge that half the time the Phillies make bad shots and rely on rebounds and deflections and things to win games. (not illegal just showing how that kind of shooting helped Price look bad in the montreal/flyers series.)

and the pens waited for good scoring opportunities like letting the goalie make the first move before reacting though i can think of one time during the last game before game 5 when crosby just blindly threw the puck at the net without thinking, no strategy just mindless thinking like a person as thick as two planks and nothing just blind and it went in between Biron's left leg and the goalpost, it made Biron look like a noob cause he could have stopped that easy one with his pad and Crosby looked like an idiot for making blind tosses like that.

Sometimes that is the frustrating thing about the pens, they want to get the pretty goal with the three or four passes and a tap in, but the grinder goal(like Staal's) count just as much.
