Here is some ammo...
I went to Pitt a few months ago. It was a dump. The only nice places are the small towns surrounding it. Beautiful country.
Philly has murder but take the population and shove it into a dump of a city like Pitt...
Otherwise Philadelphia is awesome with so many places to visit.

I've not spent much time down town, but the few times I was there, I didn't think it was that bad. A very blue collar city. Their new baseball stadium is gorgeous...right on the river and the views are awesome from the cheap seats...well, at Pirates' games, all the seats are cheap. I mean from the $7-$9 seats.
The food is pretty good too.

Philly is actually quite an interesting city. A ton of history in the founding of this country. It's where the declaration was signed, it's where the majority of the Constitution was written, it was going to be the nation's capital at one point. It's quite an interesting place if history floats your boat.
That and I love how all the sports venues are right next to each other. It's awesome when all the teams are playing and winning on the same night at home...great for a celebration, but the traffic sucks when you want to leave.

Wow did I black out and post this earlier while hacking your account?
Wait if I had I would had mentioned that the sports stdiums seem to be an island in a sea of flat lifeless looking buildings. Ugly area that is aroundthen. The downtown rocks though. But where I head when I come down is the best part there is (well the best of PA IMO.)

Okay, okay I said I was going to jump off the Flyers bandwagon... Well now I guess i'll hop back on. I am rooting for the Flyers for one reason. I hate the way Malkin played in their loss to NYR. It was unclassy. I am not a fan of it.
I like the Flyers play so far. It is much like the Dallas Stars. Rough, tough and coming at you hard.

Is it possible for both teams to lose?
I'll go with the team I dislike the least. Pens in 6.

I’m calling B.S. on this. I have never met a person that wasn’t pleasantly surprised with how nice Pittsburgh is after going there for the first time, maybe because they expect such a dump because of the Steel town reputation. I know the first time I went there I was expecting to not see the sun because of the pollution (the way it was in the 70’s) and to see dead bodies floating past me in the river. The town is beautiful in the summer; point state park is a awesome place to spend an afternoon on the river!

Hello All, I started a thread in the trash talk forum:
Flyers v Pens Trash Talk Thread
I figure that all of us true fans of either team will not be able to contain ourselves, and will need somewhere to throw the insults. Let's do it over there, and keep these threads to actual discussion.

But we're having so much fun here...it's like having a conversation in the kitchen while standing around and then walking into the living room to sit down and that discussion just dies...

And the fun is just beginning. I relate it to a family argument at a party. Although the people outside the family may find the bickering and name calling amusing for a little while, they'd rather talk about other things. So the family just takes the argument outside so everyone else can have a normal conversation.

The Flyers have grit and toughness as well as a lot of depth... I expect this to be a physical series, with the Pens winning it in 6 or 7 games.
