It is unfortunate that people have to complain about officiating, but it gets hard to ignore when it goes past a few bad calls, and starts to influence the outcome of a playoff game.

Last nights game was 10 (phi) to 7 (pit) in penalties, but it should have been the other way around. The goal disallowed was most likely in, and I would have been fine if it was allowed. I'm pretty objective, and will be the first to say "We got away with that one" on bad calls gone our way. I will also notice all the un-called penalties which don't go our way.

With 2 All Star players out of the line up, and one of your best defensive players out in this game, it's hard to ignore one-sided penalty calling. Trust me, true Flyers fans are not taking this for granted, but not complaining about the calls in last nights game would be the same as not complaining about the Flyers turning the puck over too much.

So talking to people who never watch hockey is funny. Even they mention the poor officiating. The biased announcers are even calling it...even mullet guy on versus calls it right.

He was bad in Game 1. I think he was better in Game 2. One goal went off Kukkonen's skate. Next one was a powerplay where Kukkonen and Hossa put it in the net. No one was covering Talbot on the GW. He had a good game but he does need to be better tonight.

Pittsburgh is going to win this one.

The flyers might win one game so my guess is penguins in 5.

but pittsburgh is bascially a 4 line firepower, everyone of their lines can do something, plus fleury is good and the pens wait until they can make a good shots before shooting.

The flyers pretty much have what I like to call the Cheeseburger line and to a lesser extent briere. They are not a 4 line power, they basically rely on that line to score for them. That will not work in the playoffs. Also they make bad shots, half the time they miss the net. For freakin heaven's sake no one will win the cup like that with that kind of team.

Ive nothing against Biron though infact hes the only flyer I like.

the flyers weaknesses werent as obvious in the series vs montreal, mostly because of Montreal's weaknesses in D. But now Pittsburgh is a better team realistically, and the weaknesses are showing through better.

Anyway, I think the Flyers are in tough. I mean, they gotta win 4 of 5 without some key guys.....tough tough hill to climb. They're going to need Biron to stand on his head and Briere to really pick it up. They might be able to pull off something magical if they can out score the Pens...however, the Pens are looking like a beast.

i guess also that Biron caught it from his son Jacob. His son said Dad I want you to get a shutout and I want Briere (who is Martin's good friend) to score. Neither happened. So I wonder if the baby Biron got mad at goalie Biron after the last game. xD

Three hooking calls, each one not even close to a hook. Hossa only had one hand on the stick for crying out loud and didn't even impede movement.

Not this year Philly...I'm 99% positive this one's gonna be a sweep. This series was testament to how important defense is to a team...it's the bedrock that supports everything else and without it everything falls apart. It was painful watching the Flyers try to get something started only to turn the puck over every time. Had Timonen and Cobourne been healthy, perhaps the outcome could have been different. But honestly I doubt it; the Pens are simply too strong this year. It definitely would have been more of a fight though.

Mike Richards deserved a better fate. Owell...his time will eventually come.
