Oh Oh Oh

I know some flyers fans on this site hate me

It's gonna be HILARIOUS when we are gonna reach the East Final

I'm gonna say in 5

Boston surprised us with a good mix of defensive/physical play and they had a very special defenseman in Zdeno Chara but the only game they won at Montreal is the game Carey Price made some stupid mistakes.

No way Philly can use the Boston strategy and the physical play alone won't work against us.

Offensively we are the best team in the NHL , but Philly is good 2.Our PP is gonna work like in the regular season because there's no way Philly can stop it like Boston did.

On the blue line , we are far superior in every aspect , Markov finally woke up , Hamrlik & Komisarek are beasts and the rest of the squad is solid. The flyers have Timonen and Coburn but on the blue line they are weak in general and I dont believe they can stop us while I believe our squad can slow down the Flyers offense.

Goalies : Price is a franchise goalie and is proving he's in a league of his own under pressure and Martin Biron is ordinary goalie.

Our great captain is back and I REALLY like the Higgins-Koivu-Kovalev line. The Kos-Plek-Kos is not bad 2.But I think we'll see the good old line of the regular season because no defenseman on the flyers can stop Kovalev like Chara did which is a really bad news for Philadelphia.

Coaching: Julien clearly outcoached Carbo in the first series but everybody knows John Stevens is weak

Ice advantage: How Brière and Biron are gonna react having the loudest crowd in Hockey booing them and saying their names ???

All in all , its pretty much offense vs offense but one of the team have a great defensive line and a great goalie and the other team dont.

GO GO !!!!

The NYR vs Pit series is far more interesting.

Well, Ill give you one compliment. You are confident.

The problem is that confidence is misplaced. The bruins outplayed you in 5 of the 7 games and it could have easily been a first round exit. Now you need to play an even rougher team that can actually score.

Habs in 5 is a huge overestimation of your team. This series is going 6 or 7 and is in no way favoring any one team.

Offensively, you are 8th in playoff scoring. Not the best in the NHL. Your power play is 14th out of all playoff teams. I have a feeling special teams will matter more in this series, and your regular season best PP has pulled a "Joe Thornton" against a weak first round one line team like Boston.

Price is not a franchise goalie yet. He had a good first round against the worst offensive team in the playoffs and had a few bad games within those 7.

If you think nobody can stop Kovalev line on the flyers squad, I guess you have not seen the duo of Coburn and Timonen huh? Not to mention Kovalev will be going head on vs Richards line, a stalwart two way center in his own right.

How can you say we are not the favorite to win this thing?!?

Are you serious ????

Boston outplayed us blablabla on and on and on...
They outplay us but we won and Carbo caoched like an idiot trying to play the trap and I think he learned his lesson.

And our offense was not good because we faced the most boring defensive system of the NHL while playing the trap in 5 games out of 7.The 2 games we dont play trap was game 1 and game 7.Four and Five goals against 1 by Boston.Thats our style , and Carbo need to stop trying to protect his leads , no matter if its a series lead or a game lead.
Sometimes we lead by 1 or 2 and he stop the 2 guys forechecking to 1 guy forechecking , EVERYTIME we have a lot of trouble.EVERYTIME.

We will destroy those oranges.

Theres no way we lose this series.
Its gonna be easier than Boston thats for sure.

Flyers have offense power but no defense , we have the 2.

And I dont give a (what you want here) if Price is a franchise goalie or not , but if you doubt hes already better than Biron than you just dont know how to judge a goalies talent and mental toughness

Brière and Biron better be VERY strong mentally or they are toast every game in MTL cause we are gonna boo them I can assure you.Boo them LOUD LOUD LOUD LOUD , everytime he will touch the puck , and the BIIII-RONNNN BIIIII-RONNNN will be loud too.

The reason I think its gonna be over in 5 is Im sure we win every home game and I think we'll win a game in Philly in game 3 or game 4 to finish those oranges in game 5.

Before Knuble going down I had the Flyers in 6, now I have to say Flyers in 7

Hey jt, I wonder what kind of baby a flyers fan can make with a leafs fan? I'm pretty sure most of Leafs nation is on the Flyers band wagon for at least this series. LOL

Well i like this match up as the Bruins punished the habs physically and now the Flyers will continue that punishment wearing the smaller less physical habs down.

Again in this series i'll take the Flyers size advantage and well balanced scoring advantage over the dwarfed one line habs team.

Heres to kovalev getting run often and run hard to the point that he once again proves that he's a whinning snivelling quiter that has no desire or heart when the going gets tough.

ok 1. Joe is going a bit over board.. Yes we (the Flyers) do have a good powerplay and a good defense.
2. C N C your wrong in that one. we have a good defense and we have good offense we just make mistakes like all humans do. Two, yes MTL did struggle but i think you'll do what the Caps did and attack us and keep us back so we dont stay down in MTL zone for a period. MTL has a very strong team also no doubt. I am a Flyers and Detroit fan but.... i choose a logical decision over me, myself being a fan. I honestly hope Flyers win in 7(fan part) but my logical thinking says MTL will win in 5-7 and give a good fight... so it could go either way ;]

It won't take much to get under his skin, but the flyers better be careful because once he gets frustrated he starts swinging his stick.

Let's see, where to start...first off, why don't you read this to see what the Flyer's defense did to the best player in the league.

You said you're offense was no good because of a boring defense? Who cares how the defense plays...look at the Cups New Jersey won over the last 15 years...through boring trap defense. It worked.

Let's compare stats, your power play sucks so far in the post season. I don't care how the other team played or who they have for one big defenseman. Braydon Coburn is faster, a better passer, and better with the puck as he's far more mobile than Chara. Coburn and Timonen are going to be handful for your team, especially on the power play.

The Flyers have the top two players in offensive production through the first round in Briere and Prospal and Richards is in the top 10. Your player with the most points is tied for 17th.

Team scoring - Flyers 4th, Montreal 8th. Scoring against - Montreal 4th, Flyers 8th, but the goal differential between the two teams is almost the same.

Based on the numbers, I'll give Price a bit of a nod over Biron from the first round, but their numbers are not much different and the Flyers played the best forward in the league and one of the fastest teams in the league, not Boston. Price has given up 15 goals through 7 games, Biron 20, but only 12 of those goals were even strength. Same as Price, 12 even strength goals. So not much of a difference there.

Both teams have 17 players who have registered at least one point so far in the post season.

Mike Richards is starting to come into his own, and he is a player that can dominate the play. He's one of the best 2 way forwards and one of the most complete players in the league. He's not a real flashy guy, but he can certainly make you look silly.

This is going to be a great series that could easily go 7 games. The Flyers have better depth on offense with their 7 20+ goal scorers and 11 different goal scorers in the playoffs. The Canadiens have 12 different players who have scored a goal.

There is no clear advantage and to pick on team over the other in less than 6 games is being awfully bold.

Burnside picked the Canadiens in 5 but he was dead wrong in the last series.
