#4 Z Michalek (Shot blocking demon. Solid defensively)
#3 K Yandle (All star. Good defensively. Scary slapshot.)
#16 R Klesla (Excellent stay-at-home defenseman)
#23 O Ekman-Larson (A younger, possibly better Yandle)
#53 D Morris (Passed prime but still good)
#2 D Rundblad
#6 D Schlemko
#29 M Stone
Any of these 3 ready to play 6th D-man any given night. All pretty good and getting better.
Mike Smith in goal.
Coyotes are frequently looked over in almost every category which might be why they were one of the surprise teams of last years season/playoffs. Maybe one day people will consider them a good team and teams might be ready to play against them

As a Pens fan, I was really sad to see Z go back to you. Are you sure we cannot interest you guys into taking Paul Martin instead?
That left us with:
Paul Martin(supposedly puck moving defenseman, soft on the defensman thing)
Chris Letang(should be perenial all start if healthy)
Brooks Orpik(hard hitting defensive defenseman)
Matt Niskanen(solid defensive player, limited offensive skills)
Derek Engelland(under rated defensive skills, will protect the stars)
Ben Lovejoy(nothing special, keeping a spot warm for Simon Despres)
In the wings the Pens have great depth in the waiting, Simon Despres is going to be another very gifted puck moving defenseman. He spent some time up with all the injuries last season, and looked right at home.
Is Simon Despres does not make the NHL roster(he's either a starter or in the AHL to season), then Letang is really the only offensive threat that the Pens have on the blue line. I'd love to seem them shooting more from the back end.
