As much as I'd like to see Mats sign in Montreal, Vancouver can have him at that price. Having said that, if Mats wants to win a Cup, it won't be with the Canucks any time soon...

Hahaha, I can't help but laugh at some of the ridiculous signings or offers teams have made today. First a nobody defenseman gets 3.5 million from the Leafs and now a team that is nowhere near contention offers Sundin 10 million a year. What's next?

Can you imagine what Hossa, Campbell and Redden are being offered?

I have a feeling that Campbell is going to get more than Lidstrom. That seems... wrong.
It would be wrong, but as we can see, the demand is much higher than the supply. I'm expecting to see Hossa have the most lucrative contract in the entire NHL once the dust settles... which is also wrong.

I'll bet those three are having the day of their lives looking at the money being thrown around. I guess nothing will stop NHL owners and GM's from their own stupidity.

Its funny because we had a lockout to prevent this retarded type of behavior.
But no, I can't see Campbell getting 7.5 million a year like Lidstrom. Lidstrom's contract was 9 million a year before the Salary cap global rollback on all players

So much for losing a year to the lockout...
