The flyer who boarded bergeron started skating from 30 feet out balls out, had 3 seconds to avert the hit when he saw the numbers, and went straight for the head.
The Hartnell hip to the head while the player was on his knees was far worse too.
If anything, this would be a 1 game suspension, but it had NOTHING on the flyers hits by any stretch of the imagination
When you're a flyer fan the most thrilling thing you can imagine is when a player on another team takes a cheap shot at someone so you can scream that your season full of suspensions are unfair.

Im really sure Bergeron was standing in one position for the whole time Jones skated 30 feet, and had 3 seconds to avoid him. Sorry, but player dont just stand still on the ice. Like I've said earlier, it seems like people forget that hockey is a contact sport and there's no real way to hit anymore. These people will say "I don't mind a good hard hit" but they never give any definition as to what that is. Players used to be able to say "ya I knocked him to tuesday, when I hit ya go to sleep" now all they're allowed to say is "well I never really wanted to injure him" sheesh

No actually, My stance on the Bergeron hit hasn;t changed. Go back and look.
He had several seconds to avert the hit, and his eyes were on the numbers the whole time. He also took several strides above the charging rule when he lined him up from the blueline.

Its nothing different than a standard boarding hit. Should have been at least a 2 minute(I don't know how the ref doesn;t call anything. He was right there), but more likely a 5 minute and game misconduct
Ok, I'm home now and just watched it, I agree with Joe. This doesn't even come close to the Flyers stink test. 2 mins boarding should have been called, but no suspension in my opinion.
