Default St. Louis Blues

The Blues are much higher than where I expected them to be.

2nd Place in the Central Divison, which is no cake walk anymore. Resting between 4th Place and 6th Place in the Western Conference.

The addition of Paul Kariya and Hannu Toivonen have been vital (Toivonen has proven to be a solid back up for us, Boston probably won't make another deal with us for decades )

With prospects like David Perron, Erik Johnson, and Steve Wagner all playing well for the most part I cannot be dissatisfied. They are challenging veterans for their roster spots and forcing them to either play well or sit out as a healthy scratch.

Legace is having an amazing year so far. He's by far our best defensive asset and has definitely won us a handful of games.

Brad Boyes, well if you haven't heard about him, you're missing out. He's exploding right now, one of our most dominant offensive forces and in combination with Doug Weight, Keith Tkachuk, and Paul Kariya he's dominating the ice.

The defensive situation is great. Eight defensemen, a healthy challenged for anyone who wants ice time.

And lastly, I think Andy Murray has a lot to do with the Blues success this year. He's completely turned this team around. To go from worst to the top 10 is phenomenal.

Cons:
Eric Brewer - not sure why he gets ice time
DJ King - finally scored, but plays in a lot of games where he is not needed
Legace - on IR
Jay McClement - great defensive center, lacks offensive in general

I expected nor would I expect anything less than what Detroit has done so far. Consistently excellent.

Pros: too many to count, but the big surprise has been Osgood.

Cons: just one....Hasek. He needs to find his game and stay on his skates a lot more. Snow angels arent doing it for him lately.

Take heart: at least he's been way better than Barret Jackman.

Too true. I used to think very high of Jackman but his stats and ice blunders are quickly changing that. Him and Brewer need their own box at the Scottrade Center, in my opinion. Replace them with Erik Johnson and Steve Wagner.

I watched the Blues/Oilers game last night, and was very impressed with Johnson. The guy can flat-out skate, and made a number of smart plays. Looks like a player.

Also: Boyes can go to hell.

It's great the that Blues are finally turning it around again. I feel Andy Murray is definitely an integral piece in their success so far. He was awesome with the Canada at the World Championships last year.

I agree, only I thought we'd have more wins vs Chicago and St. Louis.
