When the Leafs will win the cup: never. I really wish people would stop getting their false hopes up on the Leafs. They suck and will never win. Period.
What kind of facts are you basing this on? How is it that you know for sure that they suck, and that they will never win? Its interesting that you make a post that tears a team down, yet you provide no reasoning in your arguments. Is it because Mats Sundin is an over-the-hill captain? Or perhaps because Toskala and Raycroft make for an inexperienced tandem? Or is it the lack of a solid defensive defenseman? Even if you were to use these as examples of why the Leafs suck, you still have no basis to explain why it is that the Leafs will never win. Period.

I'll tell you why the Leafs suck, it's because they have Mats Sundin a euro captain. In the history of the NHL (if you happen to check) you will see that teams win the cup with mostlyCanadian captains.
Mats should hand over his C to a North American player because then they would or could stand a better chance at getting closer to a cup.
Now that I said this a team with a overseas captain will win the cup this year....

I fail to see how the captains nationality determines how good or bad the entire team is, or how good or bad the individual is at the sport. Talent is talent, no matter what country you grew up in.

True I'm just going by stats and I'm a big hater of Mats
True I'm just going by stats. And I'm a big hater of Mats
On what basis do you hate Sundin? Because he is European? Or is it because he is a big floating oaf, who lacks general motivation and when he grins you just want to smack him across the face? Or is it because you're a typical Leaf hater, and just hate anyone that has a leadership role with the Leafs?
If I didn't know better Wingsnut, I would have thought you were a leafs fan. Well said.
Nah. I think that he just wants to spark conversation, or have some members be a bit more descriptive with their posts and add some reasoning as to why they think what they think.

Wingsnut, the in the closet Leafer
The last couple seasons I've found myself in the company of better Leaf fans than I had in the past, so I definitely have more of a shining towards them than I used to. However, BE-LEAF-ABLE is correct in saying that I'm trying to spark conversation and hopefully at the same time encourage people to better support their opinions. I find it generally makes for better conversation, and a better atmosphere.
To add, I do in fact like the Leafs, and if I were to be forced to pick a second favourite team, it would be them. However, that doesn't mean much, as I am not prone to having a serious second favourite team, as I find it kind of pointless, and I do know how to get my Leaf hate on.
