So my damn inlaws were visiting this weekend, and guess what?? I had to miss the GAMES! Oh man, dinner one day, taking the kids to the park the next. I was so pissed. Any good highlights from the games?
What the heck's wrong with your inlaws that they don't like hockey?
They're from south of the Mason-Dixon?

If he could stand up for himself he'd still be in Edmonton.
I can be south of the Mason Dixon in under 40 minutes and I lived in three states south of it before I started playing hockey.
Well the first guess of "tehy're American?" doens't make sense, and the second one has been proven wrong....maybe they just dont' ahve good taste in sportS?

No, I'm the exception. I'm sure there are more hockey fans in PA than there are in, say Arkansas (where I was born).
I had only heard of hockey from one person before I moved to Minnesota. I was a couple years under 10 when I moved to Minnesota, but I lived in Arkansas, North Carolina, and Maryland before Minnesota and Pennsylvania...all of those states were before I was 11.
A friend of mine from school in Maryland drove all over the place, well, his parents drove him all over the place to find rinks and places to play. I don't know how long that lasted, but he doesn't play any longer and still lives in Maryland.

Damn your inlaws. Tell them that the Rangers are more important than them any day of the week. Grow some balls and tell them that you have to watch the damn game. If you've forgotten how much you love the Rangers watch this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ENJMG...eature=related
Ahaha, my whole entire family hates Hockey. I'm from Lubbock, home of Texas Tech, and also the 2nd most statistically conservative, city in the United States. People down here down here have their minds set on being "good ol' boys" and "classy ladies," meaning all people down here care about is football and whether or not you're involved in church. I like football, but Hockey (yes I capitalize it) was my first love.
Imagine living in a place where almost EVERYONE hates Hockey. The only two people I know that like it are a friend of mine, and some bum who comes to work every now and then.

Your location sounds like hell, complete with insane heat.

Replace hockey with any team not named the Toronto Maple Leafs and you have my world.
