first of all, that was a bitch move by Pronger. I mean, it's the last second of a game, it's not like theese teams are rivals or anything, it was uncalled for.

Secondly, somebody should've jumped him. Langembreuner, Zajac, one of the defenseman should've at least started a little wrestling match. That's the best player on the team, you got to show the Ducks they can't get away with that.

i wont argue that pronger has done some dirty stuff in his career, but that looks like a smaller guy running into a bigger one. Parise is listed at 5'11" and i bet thats with skates on, he aint that big, pronger is 6'6" in shoes. doesnt take a rocket scientist to see whos gonna get the worst of that collision...

I have to agree with that. I don't think Pronger was trying to do anything intentional there, other than finishing his check on a smaller player. Which isn't to say that it would have been wrong if Rupp had challenged Pronger afterwords either....
