The Predators have signed goalie Tomas Vokoun to a three-year deal that's expected to pay him $3 million in the coming season.

The new contract makes Vokoun the second-highest paid Predator on the team, trailing Steve Sullivan, who on Tuesday signed a contract that will pay him between $3.6 and $4 million for the coming year.

Vokoun set a franchise record with 34 victories last season and earned a spot in his first NHL all-star game.

The Predators also today entered an arbitration hearing with forward Vladimir Orszagh.

I didn't know that Vokoun was a prospect in the Canucks' system.

He was actually a Habs prospect, before being claimed in the expansion draft by Nashville

The Canucks had a chance to acquire Vokoun, and almost did..Burke was very interested, but as usual..it fell through
