Default Predators head to MSG

(Sports Network) - The Nashville Predators seek their third consecutive win tonight when they visit the New York Rangers at Madison Square Garden.

Since losing their first three games, the Preds have defeated Phoenix and the NY Islanders. On Monday, Steve Sullivan and Paul Kariya scored during a shootout to give Nashville a 2-1 win over the Isles.

Sullivan scored the tying goal midway through the second period for the Predators.

Tomas Vokoun, meanwhile, made 26 saves and also stopped Miroslav Satan and Viktor Kozlov during the shootout. Vokoun has stopped 55 of the 57 shots he has faced in the last two contests.

Tonight marks the second portion of Nashville's three-game trek around the New York metro area. The team will visit New Jersey on Thursday.

New York, meanwhile, ended a three-game skid with Monday's 4-2 win over visiting New Jersey. Brendan Shanahan and Jason Ward both scored late second- period goals to lift Rangers.
