About time they got rid of him - Pedneault gone!
Yvon Pedneault, "color commentator" for RDS Habs game, is to be replaced by Brunet.
Bout time that douche got the boot, I couldn't stand him. So freakin negative all the time (unless it's Latendresse of course, that guy neeeeeeeeeeever does anything wrong...) especially with all his statistics proving how the Habs suck so bad they should be out of the league.
Every time a player scored he made sure to say how many games that guy hadn't scored (no matter how many points that player had during this streak). No matter how much a Russian player does it's always a bad play while Latendresse sneaking on the side of the net waiting has done nothing wrong after missing an open net for the 10th concecutive time (must be Saku, who done all the work, who didn't get the puck to him properly I guess). And his freaking "analysm" of plays that are COMPLETELY irrelevent (which he basically simply describes in his own words) that often costs us with a goal or a faceoff.
Anyways, I'm glad to see him gone. Good ridance

I can't agree more! This guy reeked negativity and had his favorite scapegoats, mostly those who didn't speak French! He'd be blaming guys who weren't even close to the play just because. So long Yvon, welcome Benoit (although I'm not a big Brunet fan as an analyst).

Well Yvon was good way back , he was just getting old I guess and started to do a mediocre job the last 3 years.
The Pierre & Yvon duo was more solid like 6 years ago.
I like Brunet but I truly hate his love for the Ottawa Senators. At least he played in the NHL.

Pierre and Yvon are brutal. It's unfortunate that today's generation didn't get a chance to have René Lecavalier and Gilles Tremblay, as they would have something better to compare them to.

In fact I dont think Lecavalier and Tremblay would vbe my style anyway , my favorite style is like the guy from Buffalo.I hate baseball but I still watch it sometimes just because Roger Brulotte is awesome.I wish Brulotte was an hockey specialist. He's flashy and got a nice voice , but he also know what hes talking about , a lot.People who dont listen to him think he's a just a big mouth but this is a false statement.

My style is hockey knowledge, use of proper language and proper broadcasting. All of those aren't Pierre and Yvon's forte!

The best commentators were the 50's high voice fast talking slacks wearing characters.
But yeah, while I hate Brunet's overly obvious boy love of the Sens at least he played the freakin game so it's a step up.
Pednault always sucked imo, he did 5 years back and still does today.
