First and foremost, welcome to the hockey forum. A couple of things that will make everyone happy would be to stop typing in ALL CAPS as it looks like you're yelling. The second thing to consider is direct attacks to other members, fans and hateful comments against French Canadians aren't allowed on this site.
Other than that, you're entitled to your opinion but allow another member who's lived through 4 decades of Habs' hockey to respond to some of your comments...

THAT NUMBER IS SO FAR BELOW WHAT IT SHOULD BE THAT IT IS AMAZING HE HASNLT BEEN BIUGHT OUT AND KICKED OUT OF THE SPORT.
HIS PERFORMANCE NUMBERS ARE N9THING LESS THAN A COMPLETE DISGRACE AND THIS CITY SHOULD BE ASHAMED TO HAVE AGUY WITH NUMBERS LIKE THESE AS A CAPTAIN.
HE IS ASHADOW OF HISFORMERSELF AND NEEDS TO BE STRIPPED OF THE "C" AND DEMOTED AT MINIMUM TO 2ND LINE CENTER.
IF YOU SEE THIS ANY OTHER WAy you are living in complete denial.
as a captain, this man will NEVER EVER LEAD THIS TEAM TO A CUP AND IT WILL NEVER EVEN BE CLOSE AS LONG AS HE IS THERE!!!

First, let's get the facts straight. Koivu has scored 90 goals in his last 380 regular season's games but let's face it, he's not as much of a goals' scorer as he is a playmaker, as he had 229 assists in the same time span. He made a 30 goals scorer of Richard Zednik, a 20 goals scorer out of Jan Bulis and Micheal Ryder (who?) scored 25, 30 and 30 goals in his first 3 seasons playing with Koivu. Let's face it, he hasn't had a quality winger to play with since the days of Mark Rechhi. I'm not the biggest Koivu fan there is, but he's certainly not as bad as you're painting him out to be.

his performance should have set off alarm bells the size of Gabraltar and if he isn't gone by next September I will eat my hat. Someone, probably Gainey himself or the entire Scouting staff completely BLEW that one...the man is nowhere neartready for this league and half the golatender of say a Josee Thodore or Chritobal Huet...in one sentence...the deal to get rid of Huet was perhapos the singleworst deal made by any GM in 120years of Pro and amateur Hockey...BAR NONE !!!

Price had one of the best record in the entire NHL amongst goaltenders since being called up from Hamilton. Yes, he didn't perform as expected against the Flyers but he's only 20 years old and we must be careful in the expectations we're putting on players that age, especially goaltenders. I'd suggest waiting before calling him a bust as I have a feeling that he'll prove you wrong no later than this coming season.

I Defy anyone to PROVE me wrong...I AM 50 TIMES A BETTER SKATER AND HAVE 50 TIMES THAT IDIOTS PUCK SENSE AT 46 YEARS OLD IN MY PINKY THAN THAT GUY WILL EVER HAVE IN HIS ENTIRE RETARDED FRENCH BODY !!!HE DOESN'T BELONG IN THE NHL LET ALONE THIS TEAM...HE HAS ZERO PUCK SENSE. Two things... if you are as good as you're saying, why aren't you in the NHL? Also, Brisebois isn't with the team as he's a UFA. Streit was let go because you simply don't pay a 4th line player and PP specialist who's had ONE good season $4 million. In my books, that's excellent management.

I removed the out of line comment in that post. I guess 29 teams are also committed to loosing as only one team was able to sign Hossa. Or is it 30 teams committed to loosing because Sundin hasn't signed with anyone? The fact remains that Free Agents are just that... FREE to sign with whoever they want. By the way, I wouldn't count Sundin out quite yet as we do have cap space while other interested teams like New York and Detroit don't anymore.

Every year, Montreal is said to be one of the toughess places to play on the road due to their fans chanting and the noise level. Let's not forget the number of times when the team fell behind last year and they came back to win because the crowd was cheering them on, including the franchise record come from behind win against the Rangers while down 5-0 to win 6-5!

First off, I find it ironic that you'd praize the Habs' toughness in the '70s and in the same text, diss the acquisition of Georges Laraque.
Gainey is the best thing that's happen to the franchise since Serge Savard was GM. He took over a completely depleted team who had to share its farm team with Edmonton and Dallas to having its own, a farm team to call our own who went as far as winning the Calder Cup as the best team in the AHL in spite of being one of the youngest.
He's not looking for quick fixes. He's building this franchise the way Ken Holland is doing in Detroit, by drafting well and adding the odd element here and there. It takes patience to build this way and although I do understand that some fans might be impatient thinking of the last time we won the Cup, we must realize that it wasn't Gainey's doing and his era started 4-5 years ago, not 15 years ago.
This team went from not making the playoffs two years ago to finishing first in the conference in spite of being picked by most "experts" including Michael Fabre, to finish between 10-13, out of the playoffs. Yes, they've lost in the playoffs to a weaker Philadelphia team, but I think that we're on the right track in adding toughness in Laraque and replacing Ryder with Tanguay. Give them time, see what they bring before putting them down, you may just be positively surprised.
