Default Yann Danis to test the UFA market

Source...

Danis has been passed by Halak and Price in recent years so I can't say that I blame him. Good luck!

There was a lot of talk about him out of Montreal a few years back but he seems to have proven himself to be a career AHLer, I doubt any NHL franchise will jump at the opertunity to sign him, he might find himself in a place like San Jose, LA or Phenoix but even still he would amount to a career AHLer, most likely, on their depth charts.

I wouldn't be surprised to see him signing somewhere in Europe. He was undrafted and we signed him as a UFA, so the expectations were never very high on his chances of making it to the NHL.

I was right that he'd be gone, but wrong about the destination. He signed with the Islanders. Best of luck Yann!
