Yeah, Ottawa showed why when healthy, they are the best team in the East. The problem is that health part. Their top line had 15 points and for a while there, they were without two of those players. Having that much scoring from one can be dangerous both ways.

Default Go Habs!

The Habs had an off night last night. They will regain their form, I'm confidant. I was at the Capitals-Habs game and the team looks good - they just ran into Ovechkin #8 the day he decided to score 5 points.

Note: I was at the Capitals game today (Sunday) and watched the Caps put down the Rangers. NY was not that impressive today.

So it's not a coincidence the Habs just happen to run into Ottawa when their top line happened to score 15 points? That's an average of 5 points per player, not one player like Ovechkin, but 3 players...I'm not convinced.

As I've said before the Habs are good, but not great. They're semi-finals material, lacking another top scorer and defensive depth to crack into the semi's and Finals.

I totally agree. To be honest, I thought until last week that the mystique of the jersey would be enough to compensate certain limitations and actually lead the Habs, stumbling or not, until the finals. These two last games (Toronto and Ottawa), in my opinion, were crucial to show whether we could or couldnīt dream about the 25th - winning would take the Habs to the top of the division and prove that they have what it takes to win decisive games.

Canadiancreed summarized well: "good but not great".

Are the Habs eventually going to steal the Cup?
Starting off small with women's purses, and then onto bigger and better things?

Stop being irrational. The Habs are good, not great...they haven't done anything recently to deserve being called great. There have been great Habs teams, but not recently.
