Default Why Brisebois helps the habs

So far this offseason we lost Souray but got Hamrlik. Hamrlik is much better at playing defense but will not put up the numbers Souray did. We are a better defensive team but not as good offensively. By getting Brisebois we get a player who will help the PP. Now we have a pretty solid number 1 unit in Markov and Hamrlik. Markov has always been good and Hamrilk has a hard shot like Souray. Now for the number 2 unit we can put out Streit and Brisebois who both can help the PP. That is 2 pretty good pp units so Hamrlik and Brisebois make up for Souray but now we are better defense.

I think the first time Brisebois was hyped so much and given a big contract and never lived up to it. He was still a pretty good D man but not worth what he was getting paid and was hyped to be. This time around he is getting less than a million and is going to be a 5 or 5th guy which he is a solid D man for a 5 or 6th guy. Then if this allows us to trade a D man to aquire a top forward it helps us even more

I think he just might be a steal, from what I heard it was 700 K, so pretty much anybody with more then 2 years experience at that price is a steal.

Quit trying to make the habs sound like they are going to compete next season. The bottom line is that the Habs are not going to make the play-offs and the Maple Leafs are.

The bottom line, by the end of the season, the Maple Leafs last stanley cup will still be 1967

Don't talk about the past, talk about the present. And currently the Maple Leafs are better than the Habs.

I guess when you think of it the Leafs 13 previous cups don't matter right? thats what, second on the list? anyways we're getting off topic, and also this is completly pointless

dude youre the one who went off topic...

anyways, for 700K i think he is a great deal. brisebois will fill a lot of rolls on the team. i think he could have gone for 1.5million if he really tried.

Brisebois is older but still have plenty of uses and is a steal for under a million.

mckly I think you are wrong about the leafs being better than the habs but thank you for your input about this thread.
