I'm just saying with all the prospects we should have a cup contender by 2010 or earlier.What do you guys think?

Why not 2015??? Really, that's way too far down the line. Yes, the Habs have alot of prospects, but they haven't also shown that can develop them properly. They've had quite a few players that have taken a while or were complete busts. With a new management staff in there, perhaps it will change, but give it some time!!!

that's impossible to say...what if they all of a sudden draft all these rookies that are the next "greats". then yes they might win it...but how the heck to you know they will do that? i don't believe it's possible to say just because they have these rookies that once they develop they will win the cup....what if one of them get's career ending injury? or traded..

My reasoning is I cannot forsee the future. The Habs may win it all next year. Who knows what will happen.

But, I can see the Habs having a good chance before 2010..Gainey builds teams very well..and will have a contender in the next 3 years
