Price is not the issue here. Adding Comrie does not improve the Habs' paltry size situation. Having Comrie, Koivu, Perrault, Ribeiro and Juneau is not going to stand up to bigger centres on opposing teams. Juneau is the only one who is actually 6 feet, and he's barely that.

You trade Perrault and move Ribeiro to the wing that simple

Actually, not that simple, you still have not added anybody to address your size factor at centre and now you are down to 3 centres if Ribeiro is moved to the wing. Perrault is not going to fetch anything in return except for a draft pick, as his skills are depleting and he is facing unrestricted free agency!!!

this team is a mess. i mean, even if they wanted to they couldnt trade their best player for anything in return. honestly, what could they possibly get for koivu? hes injury prone and unreliable. the only player i could see them getting any value for is markov. i agree with cravin. this team needs size and some toughness. there has to be an even balance and that doesnt exist in the habs lineup. take the leafs for example..they have the vets and grit, but not enough speedy young players to have a decent rush or forecheck. the difference however is that the habs dont have much money to play with, and alot of the players on the habs roster wont get much in return via trade. imo, i say trade theodore to the avs. might sound crazy, i know...but..what else there to do to shake this team up?

Most definately! You can have Comrie!!!! Take him, please!

I'd love to see either Souray or Ryder or Ribeiro in Edmonton.

The habs do not need Comrie. What are you thinking?

The Habs have needed size for years. It has always been a problem, so why acquire someone whom is small, and a whiner?

Gainey wouldn't do it. He needs size, and toughness. Right on Perrault..he is about as done as Audette. Both would not get much on the market.

Patience is a virtue. Montreal is rebuilding, and they are not a contender. So relax
