They have had 3 bad games..for sure. But the other games they played well, were very dominant.

Audette was a major factor in the better games, playing with Perrault and Ryder. I say give him a chance, then we'll see.

The rest of the guys you mentioned..I agree..they are journeymen at best. Rivet is okay, Quintal is long in the tooth..never has been a quality defenseman. Juneau is over the hill, and Dackell was good on Ottawa.

Brisebois can be good, and has looked good this year.

But I agree, the Habs are stuck with quite a few players no one other than Nashville or Minnesota would like

I think that Ryder has been the Canadiens best player this year, in all facets of the game. He plays hard every shift and goes to the net hard. Also is not a liability in his own end. I didn't realize that he was drafted in '98, one year after Ward....to think what these might of been able to do had they been givin the oppurtunity. But then again maybe they needed the time to mature. I would like to see a line of Zednik-Koivu-Ryder when our captain comes back.

Yeah being 5-5 right now isn't the worst thing that could happen. I read that Kilger is going to play 3 games this weekend with Hamilton and will be back with the big club next week. I have also heard that Koivu is looking at Saturday for his return but I don't know, that could just be hearsay. With these two guys in the lineup it brings a whole new face to the HAbs. Possible line combos.....

Zednik - Koivu - Ryder
Audette/Hossa- Perrault - Kilger
Bulis - Juneau - Dackell
Ward - Ribiero - Begin

Souray - Quintal
Rivet - Markov
Hainsey - Brisebois

Zednik more then any other player needs the cap back in action, he desperately needs a setup man. Koivu's 70 points are badly missed.

Good question, I was surprised to see him get sent down at the start of the year. I always liked his play but he had a rough year last year so he fell out of favor with the Habs. I would rather see him in there then Bouillon but Karl isn't very high on the depth chart with Hainey and Komi around.

Poor guy..but what can you do

That rumour about Gauthier headed to Habland sounds great..would really make the defense tough, and youthful.
