Swimming?
I'm just sitting here watching the Olympics and I'm sure like most other people could care less about swimming but watching Michael Phelps win his 7th Olympic Gold by a .01 of a second was absolutely amazing. I watched him destroy the competition in his past couple races, but to see him come from behind to win by the smallest of margins is more exciting than most other sports I've watched. For those not familiar, as I'm sure he doesn't get nearly the coverage in Canada as he does in the US, this ties him with Mark Spitz for the most gold medals in one Olympic Games with 7 and leaves him the chance to set the record with 8 in his final race. Is anyone else as captivated as I am that this guy is just demolishing almost all of his competition at just 23 years old or has the reliency to finish 1st in any race he's in despite being behind? I was also wondering what is it like in Canada, as that's where most of our posters are from, with the coverage of Phelps?
PS: Michael Phelps also extends his record of Olympic Gold medals to 13.
