Edmonton Table Hockey League
The Edmonton Table Hockey League is a group of table hockey enthusiasts from in and around the Edmonton area that compete on Stiga table hockey games. The ETHL is a player's choice league, meaning that competitors can choose to play with their choice of NHL or International players.
The ETHL was formed out of the success of the Centennial Table Hockey Challenge in January of 2005. Local and national media attention in televised, radio and print format helped create the interest and enthusiasm to form this exciting and new league. The ETHL is a member of the Canadian Table Hockey Association is host to the annual Centennial tournament, a sanctioned event on the North American Stiga Table Hockey Tour.
The 2005-06 season had 26 members meeting 9 times for regular season matches as well as for the playoffs. In the Finals match-up, Reggie Stefaniszyn defeated Daryl Shilling to win the ETHL Cup.
The ETHL is looking for more players for the 2006-07 season. We will meet once a month on Saturdays at Schanks sports bar in West Edmonton. If you are interested in joining, please pm me, or click on the ETHL link my signature.
Thanks!
