SILVIS, Ill. (AP) - Missing yet another PGA Tour cut was the least of Michelle Wie's worries.
The 16-year-old phenom withdrew from the John Deere Classic after nine holes today, struggling to keep herself from getting sick. Wie was in obvious pain over the last five holes on a hot, steamy afternoon, gripping her stomach, wiping her face with a towel and sitting on her bag every chance she got. Her caddie gave her several bottles of cold water to drink, but Wie only got worse. After teeing off on the ninth, she took a seat on her bag, gripping her sides and bowing her head. When she got up, she put her hand to her mouth and headed to some weeds off the tee. She stood at the side of the hole for a minute or two, but didn't get sick. A doctor came out to check on her, and they walked to her ball together.
Related InfoShe finished the hole, but then went to talk with her parents. As they patted her on the back, Wie said she didn't want to continue playing. She said goodbye to her playing partners and then left the course.

Okay, i have to get this off my chest. I probably have already said it on this board already, but i can't stand these prima donna teen phenoms that think they can do as they please. She's 16, just turned Pro and hasn't even won a tournament on the LPGA tour where she belongs. Heck she can't even be an official member of the LPGA till 18 (barring exemptions). She has not even won a tour event on the LPGA and she feels she can waltz right onto the PGA tour against proven and unproven professionals? What is she trying to prove? Who is she trying to impress, her high school chums?
She doesn't even take home a paycheck, but all she is doing is taking the paycheck away from someone who is trying to earn a living on the PGA. Wie is now 0 for 6 for trying to make a PGA cut, when will the PGA learn and stop trying to make a buck by letting her have these rediculous exemptions onto the tour. What stops any PGA player that is competing year in year out just to keep his tour card from playing on the LPGA instead since the odds are more in his favour? Heck shorter holes, i wouldn't mind at all.
Don't get me wrong, she is extremely talented at the age of 16, but even Nancy Lopez and other LPGA vets are calling her out saying she should not be doing what she is right now. She should start trying to be number one on her our tour, which last time i checked she is not. She has not paid her dues, yet the suits and ties of the PGA tour see Wie as a great marketing tool to attract spectators.
And lastly, i have to add if you're trying to prove yourself so bad, why don't you (Wie) suck it up princess and finish your round.
