With Lewis Hamilton making a great impact in the F1 racing world, my interest in the sport has grown again, as i used to love it and never miss a race, but it started to drift off the season before last. Seeing Lewis race at such a young age, being such a big force, being tied at the top of the leaderboard for the drivers championship has made me want to start tuning in again.
So, i thought i would make a thread for the sport and try and keep it as updated as possible, maybe gaining some interest from people who havn't seen much of the sport too.

Lewis Hamilton achieved the most significant milestone of his extraordinary Formula 1 career so far by storming to his first pole position in Canada on Saturday.
The McLaren sensation, who drove the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve for the first time on Friday, finally delivered what he has been threatening to do for some time by out-duelling team-mate Fernando Alonso in the dying stages of qualifying.
Hamilton had started his final flying lap behind the double world champion on the times, but a typically swashbuckling final run stopped the clock at 1m15.707s to set a benchmark that the Spaniard, in the end, could not beat.
The Briton’s glee had looked to set to be short-lived with Alonso, a mile or so behind on the road, clocking fastest times in the first two sectors, but the champion blew his chance with uncharacteristic mistakes at the hairpin and the last chicane.
He got out of shape over the final chicane kerb and after coming close to becoming the latest victim to the ‘Wall of Champions’, knew his chance had gone and backed off along the pit straight to finish 0.4s behind his team-mate.
How costly the mistake will be will not become clear until Sunday, but it is certainly 1-0 to Hamilton so far this weekend and Lewis now has his best shot at claiming a maiden F1 victory.
It's going to be a great race tonight, with a McLaren 1/2 and the Ferrari's in 3/4,with Heidfeld of BMW splitting the teams up in 3rd place. The McLaren side handed out a complete drubbing of the Ferrari team in Monte Carlo two weeks ago, but this race will be a much closer affair.
Both teams will be going all out for the win tonight, pushing their cars to the limit, with the "Wall Of Champions" waiting around the corner to take it's next victim who pushes their speed around the track just a bit too far..
Make sure you tune in to watch this race. It starts at 1700 hours GMT, so i'm guessing it will be around midday for EDT.
Good luck Lewis!

Rookie star Lewis Hamilton realised the dreams of a lifetime in Montreal on Sunday, storming to his first Formula 1 victory after dishing out a lesson in composure to his more experienced rivals in the most trying of conditions.
The British sensation withstood everything that the afternoon’s action could throw at him to take a fantastic maiden victory in just his sixth F1 race on Canada's Circuit Gilles Villeneuve.
There were four safety cars periods, the difficulties of driving on an increasingly treacherous track and constant order changes behind him to deal with – but Lewis kept his head throughout to take a flawless win.
The wild race, which featured a horrifying accident for BMW Sauber driver Robert Kubica, made fellow championship Fernando Alonso and Ferrari’s Kimi Raikkonen look like the rookies.
But while the established stars faltered, Hamilton added the most important chapter in his F1 story so far and now leads the championship ahead of Alonso by eight points.
Yup I am a huge Hamilton fan, it's good to see that he is beating Alonso both McLarens are leading the standings so that's good to see. I was a little bored with F1 last year and it's a hard sport to follow here in North America with the time delays, but I still try to watch as much as I can, and always looking for Ferrari's to lose. Sucks with the loss of Villeneuve being a passionate Canadian, most likely won't see another Formula 1 driver from this country for awhile, I had hoped that Greg Moore might reach that at some point, unfortunately tragedy said no to that one.
