Hamilton's Blake Geoffrion was checked and hit his head on the ice at the Bell Centre on Friday night in the first period against the Syracuse Crunch. See the story below.

I saw this hit... apparently Geoffrion is supposed to make a full recovery though. It looks fairly clean, Cote's shoulder made contact with Geoffrion's chest but I think the speed that they were travelling at caused the outcome to be much worse than it could have been. Plus the injury was sustained when Geoffrion's head hit the ice, not from the initial contact.

Blake's head hit the ice while Cote's skate hit his head from the other side. It was a really freak accident. It was a hard, but clean hit. Blake is doing well from what I have heard.
