In light of the NHL lockout I checked out an Amerks game on Friday night against Syracuse. I was very impressed by the number of people at the game (8,000+) and the enthusiasm and support the team receives from their fans. The game was fast paced, exciting and settled in the 5th round of a shootout. This year forget about the NHL and check out some of these AHL games.

Rochester is a good hockey town with a good old arena that has been updated. I have seen games there during the last 2 seasons. Lots of loud fans.
