Default Wild win their 6th straight to start the season

-Marian Gaborik scored his first goal of the season in overtime, helping the Minnesota Wild beat the Los Angeles Kings 2-1 on Wednesday night for their franchise-record sixth consecutive win.

Captain Brian Rolston scored the Wild's 1,000th regular-season goal in the first period.

This is pretty excellent; we're winning games close, but we're winning them. I'll take it! This is a very good start

One of the best combo's on the league, Gab's and Demtria. I never would have expected the WIld to be winning like this.

And look at it this way, if they win the CUp, you will not have half the hockey world saying you do not deserve it.....because after all, you are an expansion team in the north.........

I knew they could start like this ... They just had to use their players to their full potential and they are... I can see em going right up to 15-0 and winning the division or atleast getting 2nd

Oh I would love for Minnesota to win the cup, Kwings. It would be a great place for the cup to go. Minnesota deserves it.

What did I tell everyone before the season started? I said, look out for those guys, they are going to be great.

WTF is wrong with everyone?!?! Why does a team deserve to win the cup just because of where theyre located? Carolina perseveres and earns the cup, yet if it was up to all of you you would just take it from them and give it to Minnesota? I dont hate Minnesota but you dont deserve the Stanley Cup unless you earn it, and if you earn it you deserve it.

No, I'm not saying that a place doesn't deserve to win the cup. I'm just saying it would be cool if Minnesota would win the cup, they're a great hockey place. Besides, they haven't won a cup yet, and it would just be cool if this was the year.

Dont you have your own team to cheer for? I just dont get why your ready to hand the cup to another team already. Be happy for the fans if they win, but I dont understand why everyone wants it to go to a "hockey place." I mean I know it would be a waste if it went to NJ, because they have no fans, but the cup is really about the team, and not just the fans. I would find it difficult to go tell Jay Bouwmeester that I dont want him to win because Florida isnt a hockey place, but Id rather have Minnesota win it. I want whoever wins it to be a team that earns it.

Minnesota's doing great for obvious reasons...an excellent top six offense, Fernandez getting the starter job, speed and youth...but of their six wins, five have come at home. When they go on a serious road trip, we'll really see how good they are.

Yes, I have my team, doesn't mean I can't also root for another team that I feel is playing some of the best hockey I've seen in a while.

Although...have you seen the Avs' past two games? Holy crap, those were great. Constant control of the puck, Ottawa barely got any time with it. Sure they got a lot of shots off, but most all of the shots sucked. Man, I hope we play like that every night for the rest of the season, cuz that was killer.

Oh, and if Minnesota wins it, they will be earning it, they've played some great hockey. Although not as great as the Avs' past two games...lol.

Well yeah, they will then deserve it, but not until then, is what Im saying.

BTW, Im sure the Avs last 2 games couldnt even compare to the greatness of the Flyers in their last two games.:git:
